A lot of what I do is simply monitoring injuries. It’s very depressing. Anyway, here is what is going on with each team. Keep in mind I’m only tracking players that I think are impactful.
Arizona Cardinals:
-TE Jermaine Gresham was inactive in week 1 and week 2 (Achilles).
Atlanta Falcons:
-S Keanu Neal tore his ACL in the opener. This is a tough loss for the Falcons. 2017 5th round pick Damontae Kazee will take his starting spot.
-LB Deion Jones (foot) was placed on IR. This is another huge loss for the Falcons.
-RB Devonta Freeman (knee) is not practicing Wednesday. He is INACTIVE for week 2.
Baltimore Ravens:
-RB Kenneth Dixon has been placed on IR after injuring his knee week 1.
-TE Hayden Hurst was inactive week 1 and week 2(foot).
-CB Jimmy Smith is still suspended.
Buffalo Bills:
-Does it really even matter?
-Fine, slot CB Taron Johnson suffered a shoulder injury in week 1 and did not practice Wednesday (9/12). He was inactive week 2.
-DE Shaq Lawson pulled his hamstring in week 1 and did not practice Wednesday or Thursday. He was inactive week 2.
-RB Shady McCoy hurt his ribs in the week 2 game against the Chargers. On Sunday night he thought it was a fracture, but Monday xrays reveled it was not. It sounds like he’s 50/50 for week 3.
Carolina Panthers:
-TE Greg Olsen re-injured his foot last game. He’s considered “month to month.”
-LB Luke Keuchly hyper-extended his knee last game, but says he’s “fine.” He practiced in full on Wednesday and Thursday, so should be good to go.
-LB Thomas Davis is still suspended.
-OT Daryl Williams (knee) has been placed on IR.
– OG Trai Turner has a concussion and has not been practicing. He was inactive week 2.
Chicago Bears – healthy
Cincinnati Bengals:
-LB Vontaze Burfict is still suspended (would it be easier to tell you when he isn’t suspended?)
-DE Michael Jordan is expected to miss several weeks (knee).
-Joe Mixon was hurt in week 2 (knee) on TNF and will be out 2-4 weeks.
Cleveland Browns:
-CB EJ Gaines was inactive week 1 (knee). He is “week to week.” He is ACTIVE week 2.
-WR Josh Gordon is OUT (hamstring/Browns are dumb). He will be traded.
Dallas Cowboys:
-C Travis Frederick was INACTIVE weeks 1 and 2 (illness).
-S Xavier Woods was INACTIVE weeks 1 and 2 (hamstring).
-DE Randy Gregory left week 1 with a concussion, he is INACTIVE week 2.
Denver Broncos – healthy
Detroit Lions:
-DE Ziggy Ansah (shoulder) is expected to play.
Green Bay Packers:
-QB Aaron Rodgers left week 1 game with a knee injury — wait, why am I telling you this? You know what happened. He’s is ACTIVE in week 2, but has an injury that will take “several months” to heal.
-WR Davante Adams did not practice on Wednesday (9/12) due to a shoulder injury. He is ACTIVE Sunday.
Houston Texans:
-WR Will Fuller was inactive week 1 with a hamstring injury. He was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He will play Sunday.
-WR DeAndre Hopkins (foot) was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He will play Sunday.
-RT Seantrel Henderson left last weeks game with an ankle injury and has been placed on IR.
-CB Kevin Johnson suffered a concussion during last weeks game. He has since been placed on IR.
-DE Jadeveon Clowney (back, elbow) will not play Sunday.
Indianapolis Colts:
-RB Marlon Mack (hamstring) was inactive week 1. He’s been limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday. He is ACTIVE Sunday.
-LT Anthony Castonzo (hamstring) was inactive week 1. He practiced this week, but was INACTIVE week 2.
Jacksonville Jaguars:
-RB Leonard Fournette left last weeks game with a hamstring injury. He did not practice Wednesday (9/12), but will “test” the hamstring out at noon Sunday. He is INACTIVE week 2.
-DE Calais Campbell was added to the Jags injury report. He is ACTIVE week 2.
-OT Cam Robinson tore his ACL in the Jags week 2 game vs New England. Josh Wells will likely fill in for Robinson moving forward.
Kansas City Chiefs:
-S Eric Berry was inactive for week 1. He’s still recovering from an achilles injury he suffered week 1 of last year. He is INACTIVE Sunday.
Los Angeles Chargers:
-DE Joey Bosa was INACTIVE week 1 with a foot injury. He is out “indefinitely.”
-RT Joe Barksdale suffered a knee injury lasts week and did not return. He is INACTIVE week 2.
-DT Corey Liuget is SUSPENDED.
Los Angeles Rams:
-LB Mark Barron was inactive Monday (ankle). He is INACTIVE week 2.
Miami Dolphins:
-WR Devante Parker was inactive last week with a finger injury. He was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday. He is INACTIVE week 2.
-LG Josh Sitton (shoulder) is done for the season.
Minnesota Vikings:
-CB Trae Waynes (knee) was limited at practice. He ended up playing last week, but had to leave the game. He is ACTIVE week 2.
New England Patriots:
-RB Jeremy Hill tore his ACL last week and is out for the season.
-RB Sony Michel (knee) was inactive last week and was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He is ACTIVE for week 2.
-RB Rex Burkhead (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday (9/12) and was limited Thursday (9/13). He is ACTIVE for week 2.
-WR Julian Edelman is still SUSPENDED.
New Orleans Saints:
-T/G Andrus Peat (quad) was INACTIVE week 1 but ACTIVE week 2.
-WR Michael Thomas (illness) did not practice Wednesday (9/12), but did practice Thursday (9/13). He is fine.
-WR Ted Ginn (knee) did not practice Wednesday (9/12). He is ACTIVE week 2.
-RB Mark Ingram is still SUSPENDED.
New York Giants:
-DE Olivier Vernon was inactive with an ankle injury. He is confirmed INACTIVE week 2.
New York Jets:
-WR Jermaine Kearse was inactive (abdomen), but practiced in full on Wednesday (9/12). He will play this week.
Oakland Raiders:
-DI Justin Ellis was added to IR (foot).
Philadelphia Eagles:
-QB Carson Wentz (ACL) likely needs more time to recover.
-WR Alshon Jeffery was inactive and likely needs a few more weeks. He’s been limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday. He is INACTIVE week 2.
-RB Darren Sproles (hamstring) was limited in practice on Wednesday (9/12). He is INACTIVE week 2.
-WLB Nigel Bradham returns from suspension.
Pittsburgh Steelers:
-RB Le’Veon Bell remains absent with a case of the bad agent.
-CB Joe Haden suffered a hamstring injury against the Browns. We’re waiting on the MRI, but I suspect he’ll miss time.
-QB Ben Roethlisberger suffered a minor elbow injury last week. He returned to practice Friday (9/14). He will play Sunday.
-G David DeCastro (hand) is INACTIVE.
San Francisco 49ers:
-WR Marquise Goodwin is day to day with a deep thigh bruise. He is INACTIVE week 2.
-G Mike Pearson left last game with a foot injury/did not return. He is INACTIVE week 2.
-G Joshua Garnett left last game with a foot injury/did not return. He is ACTIVE week 2.
-LB Rueben Foster is still SUSPENDED
Seattle Seahawks:
-WR Doug Baldwin suffered a MCL sprain. He’ll likely need a few weeks. He if officially OUT for MNF.
-LB KJ Wright (knee) is OUT for Monday.
-LB Bobby Wagner (groin) is OUT for Monday.
-CB Shaquil Griffin (thigh) is DOUBTFUL for Monday.
-G D.J Fluker (hamstring) is DOUBTFUL for Monday.
-CB Trequille Flowers (hamstring) is DOUBTFUL for Monday.
-Added LB/ insider trader Mychal Kendricks. He will play Monday.
Tamap Bay Buccaneers:
-QB Jameis Winston is still suspended.
-WR DeSean Jackson suffered a concussion last game. He’s been limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday with a concussion/shoulder issue. He is expected to play week 2.
-CB Brent Grimes (groin) was INACTIVE weeks 1 and 2.
-CB Vernon Hargreaves was placed on season ending IR (shoulder).
Tennessee Titans:
-TE Delanie Walker was placed on IR with a dislocated ankle (I don’t get how that’s possible. Best of luck, Delanie).
-QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) was taken out of week 1. He threw at practice Wednesday (9/12). He is ACTIVE Sunday, but there are serious concerns about his elbow. It looks like Blaine Gabbert will start.
-LT Taylor Lewan was removed form last game after suffering a concussion. He did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday.
-RT Jack Conklin did not practice Wednesday or Thursday.
-Second string RT Dennis Kelly is OUT Sunday.
-CB Adoree’ Jackson suffered a shoulder injury last game.
-WR Corey Davis (hamstring) was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday.
Washington Redskins:
-WR Trey Quinn suffered a high ankle sprain during last weeks game. He is ACTIVE week 2.
-WR Cam Sims also suffered a high ankle sprain. He is ACTIVE week 2.
-RB Rob Kelley is expected to be out a month.
