Week 3 Injuries to Monitor: All 32 teams

A lot of what I do is simply monitoring injuries. It’s very depressing. Anyway, here is what is going on with each team. Keep in mind I’m only tracking players that I think are impactful.

Arizona Cardinals:
-TE Jermaine Gresham was inactive in week 1 and week 2 (Achilles). He returned to practice Wednesday (9/19).
-WR Larry Fitzgerald suffered a hamstring injury in his week 2 game. He returned to practice on Thursday (9/20) and is expected to play week 3.

Atlanta Falcons:
-WR Julio Jones (calf) did not practice Wednesday (9/19) or Thursday (9/20), but says on Thursday (9/20) it was “precautionary.” He returned to practice Friday (9/21).
-S Keanu Neal tore his ACL in the opener. This is a tough loss for the Falcons.  2017 5th round pick Damontae Kazee will take his starting spot.
-LB Deion Jones (foot) was placed on IR. This is another huge loss for the Falcons.
-RB Devonta Freeman (knee) did not practice and was INACTIVE for week 2. He also did not practice Wednesday (9/19) or Thursday (9/20).
-G Andy Levitre aggravated his existing elbow injury during his week 2 game and did not return. He is heading to IR

Baltimore Ravens:
-RB Kenneth Dixon has been placed on IR after injuring his knee week 1.
-TE Hayden Hurst was inactive week 1 and week 2 (foot).
-CB Jimmy Smith is still suspended.
-LB C.J. Mosley  suffered a bone bruise in his knee during TNF week 2. He is back practicing Thursday (9/20).
-RB Alex Collins (illness) did not practice Wednesday (9/19), but did on Thursday (9/20).

Buffalo Bills:
-Slot CB Taron Johnson suffered a shoulder injury in week 1 and was INACTIVE week 2.
-DE Shaq Lawson pulled his hamstring in week 1 and was INACTIVE week 2. He is OUT week 3.
-RB Shady McCoy hurt his ribs in the week 2 game against the Chargers. On Sunday night he thought it was a fracture, but Monday xrays reveled it was not. It sounds like he’s 50/50 for week 3. On Wednesday (9/19), Thursday (9/20) and Friday (9/21) he was limited in practice.
-WR Kelvin Benjamin (hip) was limited in practice on Wednesday (9/19). He should play.

Carolina Panthers:
-TE Greg Olsen re-injured his foot last game. He’s considered “month to month.”
-LB Thomas Davis is still SUSPENDED (first four games).
-OT Daryl Williams (knee) has been placed on IR.
-OG Trai Turner has a concussion and was INACTIVE week 2. He is OUT week 3.
-S Da’Norris Searcy suffered a concussion during his week 2 game.
-CB Donte Jackson pulled his hamstring during his week 2 game and did not return. He is QUESTIONABLE for Sunday.

Chicago Bears – healthy

Cincinnati Bengals:
-RB Joe Mixon was hurt in week 2 (knee) on TNF and will be out 2-4 weeks.
-OL Billy Price is expected to be out two weeks with a foot issue (posted 9/20).
-DE Michael Jordan is expected to miss several weeks (knee). He is QUESTIONABLE for week 3.
-LB Vontaze Burfict is still suspended (would it be easier to tell you when he isn’t suspended?)

Cleveland Browns:
-CB EJ Gaines was inactive week 1 (knee). He is ACTIVE week 2.
-WR Jarvis Landry (knee) was limited in practice on Monday and Tuesday (9/17 & 9/18). He is expected to play for week 3 TNF.
-QB Tyrod Taylor (head) left TNF week 3 and did not return.

Dallas Cowboys:
-C Travis Frederick was INACTIVE weeks 1 and 2 (illness).
-S Xavier Woods was INACTIVE weeks 1 and 2 (hamstring).
-DE Randy Gregory left week 1 with a concussion, he is INACTIVE week 2.
-LB Sean Lee (hamstring) has been limited in practice but plans on playing week 3.
-WR Cole Beasley (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday (9/20).

Denver Broncos:
-OT Jared Veldheer suffered a concussion during his week 2 game.
-QB Case Keenum (knee soreness) was a precautionary absence in Wednesday’s (9/19) practice. He returned to practice on Thursday (9/20).

Detroit Lions:
-DE Ziggy Ansah (shoulder) is ACTIVE for week 2.
-CB Darrius Slay suffered a concussion during his week 2 game. He did not practice Wednesday (9/19) or Thursday (9/20), but returned on Friday (9/21).

Green Bay Packers:
-QB Aaron Rodgers left week 1 game with a knee injury — wait, why am I telling you this? You know what happened.  He played week 2, but has an injury that will take “several months” to heal. He did not practice Wednesday (9/19) and Thursday (9/20), but you bet your sweet ass he’s going to play.
-CB Kevin King injured his groin during his week 2 game and did not return. He did not practice Wednesday (9/19).

Houston Texans:
-WR Will Fuller was inactive week 1 with a hamstring injury, but returned week 2 after being limited in practice. He continues to be limited in practice leading up to week 3.
-WR DeAndre Hopkins (foot) was limited in practice ahead of week 2, but played.
-RT Seantrel Henderson left his week 1 game with an ankle injury and has been placed on IR.
-CB Kevin Johnson suffered a concussion during last weeks game. He has since been placed on IR.
-DE Jadeveon Clowney (back, elbow) was INACTIVE for week 2, but says he will play week 3.

Indianapolis Colts:
-RB Marlon Mack (hamstring) was inactive week 1, but was ACTIVE week 2. He did not practice Wednesday (9/19) or Thursday (9/20) due to a foot issue. He is OUT week 3.
-LT Anthony Castonzo (hamstring) was INACTIVE  week 1 and 2. He did return to practice leading up to week 2. He is OUT week 3.
-WR TY Hilton (quad) did not practice Wednesday (9/19) or Thursday (9/20), but should be fine for Sunday. He returned to practice Friday (9/21).
-TE Jack Doyle (hip) did not practice Wednesday (9/19), Thursday (9/20) or Friday (9/21). He is OUT week 3.
-CB Quincy Wilson (concussion) is OUT for week 3.
-DT Denico Autry (groin) is OUT for week 3.

Jacksonville Jaguars:
-CB Jalen Ramsay (ankle) is QUESTIONABLE for week 2. He was a late addition to the injury report, but I’m guessing he’ll play.
-RB Leonard Fournette left his week 1 game with a hamstring injury and was INACTIVE week 2. He was limited in practice Wednesday (9/19) and Thursday (9/20). He is QUESTIONABLE week 3. I’d probably lean toward him playing.
-RB TJ Yeldon (ankle) did not practice Wednesday (9/19), but returned to Thursday (9/20). He is QUESTIONABLE week 3.
-DE Calais Campbell was added to the Jags injury report. He is ACTIVE week 2.
-TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins (core) did not practice Wednesday (9/19), but is expected to practice Thursday (9/20).
-OT Cam Robinson tore his ACL in the Jags week 2 game vs New England.  Josh Wells will likely fill in for Robinson moving forward.
-RG A.J. Cann (triceps) is QUESTIONABLE for Sunday.
-CB D.J. Hayden (toe) QUESTIONABLE for Sunday.
Kansas City Chiefs:
-S Eric Berry was inactive for week 1. He’s still recovering from an Achilles injury he suffered week 1 of last year. He was INACTIVE weeks 1 and 2 and did not practice Wednesday (9/19), Thursday (9/20), and Friday (9/21). It’s safe to conclude that he won’t play.

Los Angeles Chargers:
-DE Joey Bosa was INACTIVE week 1 and 2 with a foot injury. He is out “indefinitely.”
-RT Joe Barksdale suffered a knee injury lasts week and did not return. He is INACTIVE week 2.
-DT Corey Liuget is SUSPENDED.
-TE Antonio Gates (illness) did not practice Wednesday (9/19) and Thursday (9/20).

Los Angeles Rams:
-LB Mark Barron was INACTIVE week 1 and 2.
-K Greg “the Leg” Zuerlein had to leave the week 2 game with a groin injury. He is out for now.
-DE Michael Brockers (shoulder) did not practice Wednesday (9/19).

Miami Dolphins:
-WR Devante Parker was inactive last week with a finger injury. He was limited in practice leading up to week 2, but then was ruled INACTIVE. The Dolphins remain non-committal on Parker leading up to week 3. The expectation is he will be active.
-LG Josh Sitton (shoulder) is done for the season.

Minnesota Vikings:
-RB Dalvin Cook injured his hamstring week 2 and did not return. He said it was just dehydration and should be fine, but he did not practice Wednesday (9/19) and Thursday (9/20). On Friday (9/21) he’s working out separately from the team. He is officially OUT.
-DE Everson Griffen (knee) is OUT Sunday.

New England Patriots:
-RB Jeremy Hill tore his ACL last week and is out for the season.
-RB Sony Michel (knee) was inactive last week and was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He is ACTIVE for week 2.
-RB Rex Burkhead (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday (9/12) and was limited Thursday (9/13). He is ACTIVE  for week 2.
-WR Julian Edelman is still SUSPENDED.
-DE Trey Flowers suffered a concussion during his week 2 game and did not practice Wednesday (9/19), Thursday (9/20), or Friday (9/21). He is likely OUT.
-S Patrick Chung suffered a concussion during his week 2 game and did not practice Wednesday (9/19), Thursday (9/20), or Friday (9/21). He is likely OUT.
-WR Josh Gordon (hamstring) is limited in practice Wednesday (9/19) and Thursday (9/20).
-TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday (9/20). He should play.

New Orleans Saints:
-WR Ted Ginn (knee) did not practice Wednesday (9/12). He did play week 2, but was limited on Wednesday (9/19) and did not practice Thursday (9/20). He says he is playing week 3.
-RB Mark Ingram is still suspended

New York Giants:
-DE Olivier Vernon was INACTIVE weeks 1 and 2 with an ankle injury. He is not practicing Wednesday (9/19) and Thursday (9/20). The giants have ruled him OUT for week 2.
-C Jon Halapio fractured his fibula and ankle against the Cowboys in week 2. He has been placed on IR.
-CB Eli Apple injured his groin in the week 2 game against the Cowboys. He did not practice Wednesday (9/19) and Thursday (9/20). He is OUT for week 3.
-TE Evan Engram (ankle) was limited in practice Wednesday (9/19) and Thursday (9/20).

New York Jets:
-WR Jermaine Kearse was inactive (abdomen), but practiced in full on Wednesday (9/12). He will play this week.
-WR Robby Anderson (knee) temporarily left TNF week 3 game, but returned.

Oakland Raiders:
-C Ryan Hudson (ankle) has been limited in practice Wednesday (9/19), Thursday (9/20).
-DI Justin Ellis was added to IR (foot).
-RB Marshawn Lynch (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday (9/19), Thursday (9/20).
-G Gabe Jackson (pectoral) has been limited in practice Wednesday (9/19), Thursday (9/20).

Philadelphia Eagles:
-QB Carson Wentz (ACL) is looking like he could play week 3.
-WR Alshon Jeffery has been inactive weeks 1 and 2 and is unlikely to play week 3. He has been limited in practice leading up to week 3. He most likely will not play.
-RB Darren Sproles (hamstring) was limited in practice on Wednesday (9/12). He is INACTIVE week 2. He did NOT practice Wednesday (9/19), Thursday (9/20) or Friday (9/21). He is OUT week 3.
-RB Jay Ajayi (back) is NOT expected to play week 3. He is officially “day to day,” but the team did promote RB Josh Adams from the practice squad. He did not practice Wednesday (9/19), Thursday (9/20) or Friday (9/21). He is OUT week 3.
-WR Mike Wallace suffered a lower leg fracture during the week 2 game and has been placed on IR.
-LT Jason Peters left last game with a quad strain, but should be fine. The Eagles confirmed Wednesday (9/19) that he should play week 3.

Pittsburgh Steelers:
-RB Le’Veon Bell remains absent with a case of the bad agent.
-CB Joe Haden suffered a hamstring injury against the Browns week 2. He thinks he’ll play MNF week 3.
-QB Ben Roethlisberger suffered a minor elbow injury last week. He returned to practice Friday (9/14). He will play Sunday.
-G David DeCastro (hand) is INACTIVE. Per Mike Tomlin, he has a chance to play week 3.

San Francisco 49ers:
-WR Marquise Goodwin is day to day with a deep thigh bruise. He is INACTIVE week 2. He was limited Wednesday (9/19) and Thursday (9/20). He will be a true game time decision week 3.
-G Mike Pearson left last game with a foot injury/did not return. He is INACTIVE week 2.
-G Joshua Garnett left last game with a foot injury/did not return. He is ACTIVE week 2.
-LB Rueben Foster is still back are being suspended.
-CB Richard Sherman (heel) did not practice Thursday (9/20), but should play week 3.
-SS Jaquiski Tartt (shoulder) didn’t practice on Wednesday (9/20). He left last weeks game with a shoulder injury.

Seattle Seahawks:
-WR Doug Baldwin suffered a MCL sprain. He’ll likely need a few weeks. He if officially OUT for MNF and did not practice Wednesday (9/19).
-LB KJ Wright (knee) is INACTIVE for MNF week 2 and did not practice Wednesday (9/19).
-LB Bobby Wagner (groin) is INACTIVE for MNF week 2. He says he will return week 3, and practiced in full Wednesday (9/19).
-CB Shaquil Griffin (thigh) is INACTIVE for MNF week 2.
-G D.J Fluker (hamstring) is INACTIVE for MNF week 2.
-CB Trequille Flowers (hamstring) is INACTIVE for MNF week 2.
-Added LB/ insider trader Mychal Kendricks. He will play Monday.

Tamap Bay Buccaneers:
-QB Jameis Winston is still suspended.
-WR DeSean Jackson suffered a concussion last game. He’s been limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday with a concussion/shoulder issue. He played week 2.
-CB Brent Grimes (groin) was INACTIVE weeks 1 and 2, but expects to play MNF week 3.
-CB Vernon Hargreaves was placed on season ending IR (shoulder).

Tennessee Titans:
-TE Delanie Walker was placed on IR with a dislocated ankle (I don’t get how that’s possible. Best of luck, Delanie).
-QB Marcus Mariota (elbow) was taken out of week 1. He threw at practice Wednesday (9/12). He was ACTIVE week 2, but did not play. As of Thursday (9/20) he is still “waiting for the nerve to settle down,” but returned to practice.
-LT Taylor Lewan was removed from his week 1 game after suffering a concussion. He was inactive week 2 after not practicing all wee. He returned to practice Wednesday (9/19) and practiced in full Thursday (9/20). He should play week 3.
-RT Jack Conklin did not practice Wednesday or Thursday and was INACTIVE week 2. He returned to practice Wednesday (9/19), but was limited. He is a true QUESTIONABLE week 3.
-CB Adoree’ Jackson suffered a shoulder injury last game.
-WR Corey Davis (hamstring) was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but played week 2.

Washington Redskins:
-LB Zach Brown (oblique) did not practice Wednesday 9/19. He did play week 2, and we should expect the same for week 3.
-LG Shawn Lauvao (calf) is OUT week 3.
-WR Paul Richardson (shoulder/knee) did not practice Wednesday (9/19) and was limited on Thursday (9/20). He did play week 2, and we should expect the same for week 3. He is officially QUESTIONABLE.
-RB Rob Kelley has been placed on IR
